Jakarta – The Indonesian Minister of Defense, Prabowo Subianto, welcomed a visit from the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), Erick Thohir, and the founder of Emaar Properties, a property businessman from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and owner of the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa, Mohamed Ali Rashed Alabbar, at the Ministry of Defense office in Jakarta, on Monday (27/5).

Prabowo reported that Alabbar is enthusiastic about the growth and development potential in Indonesia.

“He expressed a great desire to develop our tourism and is confident that our tourism can increase tremendously,” said Prabowo.

Prabowo mentioned that Alabbar is optimistic that Indonesian tourism can increase by 200-300 percent, which is seen as very important and beneficial for economic growth, as well as creating job opportunities.

“Our region is vast, we can open new areas to accelerate growth and enhance the welfare of our people. I think that’s important,” said Prabowo.
