Survei Indikator: Mayoritas Publik Mempercayai Keputusan Pemilu KPU, Tidak Setuju dengan Pemilihan Kembali

Jakarta – Indonesian Political Indicator has conducted their latest survey regarding the presidential election dispute at the Constitutional Court (MK). The results show that 63.4 percent of the public disagree with the annulment of the nomination of Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka as participants in the 2024 election. Additionally, 68.6 percent also disagree with holding a re-election without the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka pair.

“Nearly 69 percent completely disagree,” stated Burhanudin Muhtadi, Director of Indonesian Political Indicator, in his press briefing on Sunday (April 21, 2024).

He also reported that 47.8 percent of the public are aware of the General Election Commission’s (KPU) decision regarding the 2024 election results and 73.8 percent trust in that decision.

“Concerning the ongoing proceedings of the 2024 presidential election result dispute at the MK, about 52.6 percent are also aware, and 71.8 percent of the majority of citizens believe that the MK will issue a fair decision regarding the dispute,” explained Burhanuddin.

The survey was conducted on April 4-5, 2024, involving 1,201 respondents using the random digit dialing (RDD) method. The target population of this survey are Indonesian citizens aged 17 and above or those who are married and own a telephone/cellphone, constituting about 83% of the national population.

The survey’s margin of error is estimated at ±2.9% at a 95% confidence level, assuming simple random sampling. Interviews were conducted by telephone by trained interviewers.
