Prabowo Publicly Rides High-Speed Train to Bandung

Prabowo Subianto, President of Indonesia, recently took a journey to Bandung, West Java, by boarding the Whoosh high-speed train from Halim Station in Jakarta. The President’s arrival at the station at 7:45 p.m. local time was met with excitement from the public, as he interacted warmly with the crowd and greeted onlookers on his way to the platform in his cream-colored outfit.

Before departing for Tegalluar Station in Bandung at 8:00 p.m., President Prabowo took photos with the Whoosh crew. His visit is in conjunction with the inauguration of the 2025 Indonesian Convention on Science, Technology, and Industry (KSTI) at Sasana Budaya Ganesa, Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) from August 7 to 9. The President is scheduled to deliver a keynote address at the convention alongside Nobel Laureate Konstantin Novoselov and Minister of Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto.

The theme of KSTI 2025, centered around “Economic Growth and Equity Through Mastery of Science and Technology,” seeks to position itself as a significant platform on both national and international fronts. This event is expected to convene experts to deliberate and formulate strategies on how science and technology can drive economic progress and ensure fairness.
