Minister of Defense and President-Elect for 2024-2029, Prabowo Subianto, expressed his optimism about the progress of the Nusantara Capital project. He mentioned that the atmosphere in the area is very promising and that he believes it can be completed in a timely manner.
Prabowo made these comments following his attendance at a Cabinet Meeting led by President Joko Widodo in the Nusantara Capital, East Kalimantan, on Monday, August 12. He emphasized the need for collaboration with experts to ensure the success of the project and mentioned that with proper mobilization of resources, the Nusantara Capital could be fully operational within 4-5 years.
As the incoming President, Prabowo has reiterated his commitment to fulfilling the vision and mission set by President Jokowi regarding the Nusantara Capital. He acknowledged President Jokowi’s role as the initiator of the project and stated his willingness to continue and potentially expedite its completion.
Prabowo’s determination to see the Nusantara Capital through to its finish reflects his dedication to advancing Indonesia’s infrastructure and development goals in the coming years.
